Ally Lamb and Eagle Rock win Sale Grand Prix

By Equestrian Life

Ally Lamb and Eagle Rock have taken out the 1.40m Grand Prix at the The Elms Grand Prix Show in Sale.

The pair produced one of four double clears, finishing the jump off round in the quickest time to claim victory. Eagle Rock, a 12-year-old grey KWPN stallion (Berlin x Vancouver), completed the jump off in 53.42 seconds.

Second place went to Brook Dobbin and Gabriel MVNZ (53.75), third went to Andrew Lamb and Spartava DP (55.94) and fourth went to Jessica Pateman and Celso (60.52). Rounding out the placings were Tori Stuckey and Finch Farm Cab Sav in fifth, with the pair having one rail down in the jump off, and Jess Kiernan riding Hemsworth in sixth after two rails down in the jump off.

Sally Simmonds won the 1.30m Mini Prix with CHIO MS, with Andrew Lamb second on Spartava DP, Sam Williams third with Oaks Kiribati, and Hayden Parker rounding out the list of double clears with Tulara Spangenberg in fourth.

The 1.10m Junior Championship went to Tanner Robinson and Shady Creek Bluefire, while the 1.10m Open Championship was won by Jess Kiernan and Amenadiel.

The Elms Grand Prix Show, which was run by Sale & District Showjumping Club, would normally host a World Cup class - but unfortunately due to Covid, the World Cup league is yet to restart in Australia.
