Andrew Hoy wins CCI3*S in Trappes, France

By Equestrian Life

Australian eventing legend Andrew Hoy has enjoyed a terrific weekend in Trappes, France, winning the CCI3*S class at SQY Equitation’s Eventing Show.

Andrew rode Odaria Finemore's mare, Bloom des Hauts Crets, to first place from over 60 combinations, finishing on their impressive dressage score of 20.4. Andrew also finished the CCI3*-S in ninth place on a score of 37.8 riding Paula and David Evans' Creenvagh Cooley.

"I am so very grateful to have these two amazing mares in my team… a very big ‘Thank you!’ goes to their respective owners Odaria Finemore and Paula and David Evans, without whom none of this would be possible,” said Andrew via social media.

“Bloom led the competition from start to finish - and finished on her dressage score of 20.4 - 7.8 points clear of second place. A true champion in the making - I am very excited for the years ahead!

“Creevagh proved herself as the experienced superstar that she is - with a little excitement in an otherwise very good and expressive dressage test, which saw her in 15th place out of 69 horses - she continually worked her way up the leaderboard. I can’t wait to be taking on some bigger tracks with her in 2022. What an incredible superstar she is!"

SQY Equitation’s Eventing Show took place in Trappes, west of Paris and just 10 kilometres from amazing Versailles Palace. The CCI3*S was the headline class, with CCI2*S, CCI2*L and CCI1*-Intro also run. Full results can be found here.
