Aussie eventers well-placed following the dressage at WEG

The second day of dressage is just about done and dusted at WEG this morning, and the three Aussie riders who completed their tests overnight have produced some great performances.

Emma McNab and Fernhill Tabasco are now the best placed Aussie combination in 7th place on 27 after a fantastic test. Shane Rose and Virgil scored a competitive 29.4 for =25th, while individual rider Bill Levett and Lassban Diamond Lift are in 47th place on 32.5.

They join Chris Burton and Cooley Lands (28.6, =20th) and Andrew Hoy on Vassily de Lassos (29.8, 29th).

UPDATE: The Australian team are in 5th position beghind Germany (1st), Great Britain (2nd), USA (3rd) and France (4th).

No one could catch Germany’s Julia Krajewski and Chipmunk FRH, who scored 19.90 yesterday to lead the field. Their score was the third best test of all time at this level.

The cross country will take place tonight (early Sunday morning) AEST from 1am-7am.
