Australia has a new CDI on the 2015 dressage calendar after Boneo Park announced today they would host a World Cup Qualifier as part of the Boneo Spring CDI to be held from September 25-27.

The World Cup qualifier will provide another opportunity for elite riders to obtain vital ranking points and exposure to international judges as many turn their attention to team selection and seek to secure their minimum eligibility scores ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Developing combinations at FEI level haven't been left out either, with Boneo Park Managing Director Fiona Selby confirming CDN Medium and Grand Prix tours will also be held alongside the World Cup event.

"Not all horses are ready for a CDI and we feel it's important to provide riders with as many options as possible to cater for their horse's current level of training and experience," Selby said.

As well as a Small Tour championship to highlight developing combinations, the event will feature a CDI-Y to give emerging young riders another chance to compete at an international standard event.

And continuing Boneo Park's commitment to providing opportunities for riders of all levels to enjoy the experience and atmosphere of competing in a CDI, the event will also provide championship classes for EA levels from Preliminary through to Advanced.

"We want to give riders across all levels the opportunity to ride in front of an international judging panel," Selby said.

Selby said the event, which is expected to once again attract Australia's leading combinations to the Mornington Peninsula, will be a "CDI for the riders and a more low-key affair than January's Classic."

A schedule will be available shortly at www.boneopark.com.au and sponsors are encouraged to contact events@boneopark.com.au or (03) 5986 3006 to be part of this exciting event.
