The 52nd Barastoc Horse of the Year show will continue this weekend after being interrupted by Victoria’s snap 5-day lockdown.

Across Saturday and Sunday, the rest of the classes will take place, after only the Child class were judged last Friday before the lockdown was imposed.

The news has delighted competitors and spectators alike, after it was feared the lockdown would continue past the initial five-day plan.

Organisers are developing plans to ensure the weekend flows smoothly after the unexpected interruption.
