Billy Raymont has jumped to victory at Port Phillip Showjumping club on the weekend, winning both the Burdett’s Sand and Soil Grand Prix and the Kiernan Plant Hire Mini Prix. It’s Billy’s second Grand Prix win this year; in January he won the Grand Prix class at the Homes & Acreage World Wetlands Day Jumping Championships at Boneo Park.

Raymont rode YPH Capulet, a horse with which he placed 2nd in the Grand Prix at Boneo Park last month, to claim Grand Prix victory in a field of 23 starters. Paul Brent placed second in the class  riding Fontaine Blue VDL, being the only other double clear in the class. Ally Lamb placed 3rd riding Eagle Rock, ahead of Brook Dobbin and Gabriel MVNZ in 4th and Paul Brent and Kablesse Kavita in 5th.

Riding the stunning imported black stallion Black Jack IXE, Billy Raymont jumped another double clear in the Mini Prix to claim victory ahead of Rosie Oliver and Bicento, the only other combination in the class to jump double clear. Ken Weir placed 3rd riding Cosmorex Coffee Vienetta, while Brook Dobbin placed 4th with Miranda MVNZ and Mia McNaught rounded out the top 5 on Balloun.
