On Wednesday the six-time Group 1 winner arrived at the Lara property of racing personality Rob Gaylard, where he will begin the transition into life as a show horse.

Gaylard said the flashy grey stepped off the truck in super condition and would be given a few easy days before he and former jockey Casey Bruce begin his training.

"He's here, he's settled in and he's enjoying his new setting," Gaylard said.

"I thought he might have been a bit more woolly than what he was but he's actually nicely dappled.

"I'll just give him a few days to acclimatise but I would say that on the weekend, when we take another horse to the equestrian centre, we might take him for a day out.

"He can just have an easy day on the float - he's been used to trucks his whole life - and we might give him a lunge."

Racing.com will track Chautauqua's transition from the racetrack to the show ring via a series of feature videos over the coming months.
