Australian eventer Chris Burton will be looking to defend his title in the CCI4*-L (formerly CCI3*) at Saumur International Horse Trials ( 22-26 May) with Polystar I.

At the 2018 event, Chris rode to victory aboard Quality Purdey.

This year’s event, held at Hippodrome de Verrie in France, spans four days of competition and will see 200 combinations from 18 nations compete in four classes – the CCI2*-L, CCI3*-S, CCI3*-L, and the CCI4*-L.

This year, the event is a qualifying step for West Europe Nations for the 2020 Tokyo’s Olympic Games.
