Day three of the 2018 Victorian Dressage Championships

The third day of the 2018 Victorian Dressage Championships is done and dusted, with competitors enjoying cooler weather today!

 

A relatively small field in the Grand Prix Freestyle, but a great performance by Dirk Dijkstra and AEA Metallic with a winning score of 71.135%. Second place went to Gitte Donvig and Sancette on 68.880%, while third went to Holly Cutler and Diva Royale on 68.365%.

 

The Medium Tour Freestyle went to Jessica Hivon and Greenbacks Weltmann on 63.935%; the pair also took out the Medium Tour Championship.

 

In the other FEI class of the day, the Inter I, it was Justine Greer and Jaybee Cavalier who impressed the judges, scoring 70.294% to win. Second place went to Stuart Archibald and Aurum Walter on 65.392%, while third went to Hayley Gilbert and Sugarloaf Rubinell on 64.118%.

The Elementary Championship went to Georgina Foot and Zoe; the pair won the 3.3 on 71.313% and finished second in the 3.2 on 67.361% - behind winners Courtney Larard and F1 Sweetest Taboo. Reserve Elementary Champion went to Ruth Schneeberger and Miramar Serene. The Pony Elementary Champion was Silkens Nougat Cream, ridden by Justine Greer; the pair won both tests.

 

The 5 Year Old Young Horse Championship went to Fiona Guthrie and HV Duke with a score of 76.8%, ahead of runner up Justine Greer and Yarramee Fonzie on 75.8%. The 5 Year Old Young Pony went to Roseglen Pop Art and Justine Greer on 71.8%, rounding out a very successful day for Justine!

 

The Para Equestrian Individual Tests also took place today. Joann Formosa and Worldwide PB won the Grade II on 68.971%; Elizabeth Skinner and Freedom Spyda won the Grade III on 65.588%; and Phoebe Roche and Saddle Up Romper Stomper won the Grade IV with 69.573%.

 

Georgina Birrell and De Naerys won the Participation Prelim 1.1 on 71.364%, while the 1.2 went to Karen Blythe and Sonic K on 77.116%.
