Dufour beats Werth in Stockholm

The Grand Prix Kur to music saw some outstanding performances, with five combination recording a personal best!

Catherine Dufour and Atterupgaards Cassidy defeated Isabel Werth and her world number two ride, Weihegold OLD in the Grand Prix Kur to Music at the 2019 CDI in Stockholm. The event, which was held last weekend saw the Danish duo beat Werth and Weihegold by a narrow 0.1%!

Dufour and the 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding scored an impressive personal best score of 89.445% in the Grand Prix Kur, while Isabel Werth and Weihegold settled for second with 89.310%. Dufour and Atterupgaards Cassidy are now the fourth combination to have beaten Werth and Weihegold, with the other three combinations being Laura Graves and Verdades, Sönke Rothenberger and Cosmo and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dalera.

Werth and the 14-year old Oldenburg mare, Weihegold were victorious in the Grand Prix. The combination won with a score of 83.652%. Cathrine Dufour and Atterupgaards Cassidy were close behind in second place, with a score of 80.870%.

Other combinations to have secured a personal best in the Grand Prix Kur to music at the 2019 CDI Stockholm include Patrik Kittel and Well Done de La Roche, who landed in third place with an impressive score of 86.115%. Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino, who scored 83.765%, Emmelie Scholtens and Desperado, with a score of 83.045%,  Anne Meulendijks and Avanti, with a score of 80.845% and Michelle Hagman Hassink and Chagall H, with a score of 72.920%.
