EQUITANA Auckland brings the elite entertainment to New Zealand

EQUITANA Auckland has introduced top titles in dressage Grand Prix and Freestyle, as well as showjumping.

This elite competition will be kicking off on Friday 24th November as the Evening entertainment that is not to be missed.

It’s an elite trans Tasman invite list who will line up. Included in the dressage line up for the EQUITANA New Zealand Open Freestyle crown are Australians Rozzie Ryan and Brett Parbery, who will take on Kiwis Wendi Williamson – New Zealand’s first-ever competitor at the FEI World Cup Dressage Final, Rio Olympic Games representative Julie Brougham, the colourful John Thompson, Jody Hartstone, Abbie Deken, Vanessa Way and more.

The showjumping is also stacking up to be a thriller with 2017 Australian Showjumping Champion Jamie Kermond and top 10 finisher Jess Brown going head to head with New Zealand’s best, including the kiwi’s highest placed eventer at the Rio Olympic Games Clarke Johnstone, current Horse of the Year Olympic Cup holder Lily Tootill, one of New Zealand’s most crowned showjumpers and recent runner up at the 2017 Australian Showjumping Championships- Katie Laurie, along with the perennial Maurice Beatson, who has represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games, World Equestrian Games and World Cup final, as well as Amanda Wilson, Samantha Morrison, William Willis, Matthew Dickey, Emily Hayward-Morgan, Lucy Olphert and Rose Alfred, among others.

It’s the best of the best converging on Auckland for the chance to be crowned the inaugural EQUITANA Auckland New Zealand Open Champion. The night promises to keep every member of the audience spellbound at the beauty of the dressage competition and on the edge of their seats with the excitement of the showjumping.
