Kelato Animal Health is proud to announce that Queensland Show Rider extraordinaire Paul Austin from Paul Austin Equitation has joined their team of sponsored riders.

Paul needs no introduction in the Australian Showing world, having achieved phenomenal success over many years. Most recently Paul rode Warmblood Dicavalli Royal Rory to victory as EA National Small Hunter of the Year at Werribee Park and Champion Hunter Hack at Canberra Royal.

In addition to running a successful business training, producing and showing horses to the top level of the sport, many of them from the point of being broken in, Paul is highly sought after as a coach and a judge.

Paul Austin Equitation is recognised for Paul’s passion for the Equestrian world and his belief that the health and welfare of the horse always comes first. It’s this principle that has led to a partnership with Kelato and it’s a relationship Paul is excited about. He says,

“Integrity is so important to me in terms of my horses and those of my clients, I really like Kelato’s motto ‘Feel well. Perform well.’ and completely agree with it.”

Paul lists Kelato products including KelatoVIT, ZanoBOLIC, QuikHEAL, BetaCALM, SwellDOWN, Evolve and Revolve among those he has used consistently over some years and now as an ambassador for the company is looking forward to finding out the benefits of even more. “The fact that Kelato has such a broad range is definitely an advantage. I’ve always gone back to the Kelato products I’ve used in the past because they work, and I know they’re made using quality ingredients. The first time I used ZanoBOLIC, it was recommended to me for a hack called ‘Cincinnati’ who looked good but not perfect. We gave ZanoBOLIC a try and guess what? He blossomed.”

Paul is a firm believer in good health starting on the inside and is especially looking forward to having his horses on Kelato’s GastroAID Digestive. “I notch up 42 thousand kilometres a year going to and from horse shows so I know the stress that the travel, the training, plus the change in routine and environment can have on horses. It can play havoc with their gut and a horse that isn’t feeling well just isn’t going to perform, so keeping their digestive systems functioning well is a really big deal and can make a major difference.”

Kelato is committed to educating and empowering horse owners to understand the link between equine nutrition and the overall health of their horse, enabling it to perform to the best of its ability. Company CEO Colin Blackhall says the addition of Paul to Kelato’s small but influential team of sponsored riders is a great opportunity. “We are proud of our products and the proven benefits they provide horses. Paul Austin is a knowledgeable and experienced horse person who shares our philosophy of healthy horses being happy horses that are willing and best able to perform. We’re looking forward to him helping us share this important message.”

From the grassroots of Pony Club to the top echelons of the competitive Equestrian world, Paul says more knowledge is needed about horse care and it’s a message he instills in his students. “Everything from the way the gear fits to how clean it is, to ensuring that the work you’re doing with the horse is good, correct and consistent, to the standard of care of the horse including its physical health and nutrition. You have to work with the horse and ensure you’re meeting its needs in order to get the best results.”

Kelato Animal Health is looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Paul Austin Equitation, not only contributing to the further success of his own horses but reaching even more horse owners with advice on the benefits of maximizing the nutritional health and condition of their horses.
