Eric Lamaze set for London 2012 with a team of horses to take Hickstead’s place

Eric Lamaze has named the three new horses he is hoping will get him to the London Olympics later this year.

Lamaze’s new Olympic hopefuls are 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood Verdi, Luikka, a 10-year-old Anglo European mare and Derly Chin de Muze, a nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare.

With his new team of horses the Olympics are again a reality for Lamaze after Hickstead, his gold medal horse at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, tragically passed away after a competition in Verona, Italy in November last year.

In addition, Lamaze has added four other up and coming horses to his team that show plenty of potential for the future. These include his three new stallions, Hunter’s Scendix, Wang Chung M2S and Cachaca 4, as well as Belgian Warmblood gelding Evano S.
