The multi-medalled British para dressage horse, LJT Lucas Normark has been sadly put to sleep at the age of 18.

The Knabstrupper stallion won multiple medals over the duration of his career, and had an extremely successful partnership with 19-times gold medalist, Anne Dunham.

Dunham, together with the Appaloosa stallion won nine championship medals for their country.

The unmissable combination represented Britain at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, securing team gold for Britain. The duo also secured six individual silver medals over the duration of their career.

Anne Dunham announced her retirement form the sport in 2017, however LJT Lucas Normark continued his competitive career the following year with European gold medallist, Suzanne Hext.

EQ life’s thoughts are with LJT Lucas Normark’s owners and connections during this difficult time.
