Yesterday evening dressage star Heath Ryan was inducted into the Hunter Region Sporting Hall of Fame, a well-earned accolade for the dedicated 59-year-old rider and coach.
Some of Heath’s career highlights include competing at the Beijing Olympics, as well as taking out national Grand Prix titles on both Regardez Moi and Utopian Cardinal. These days, Heath and his wife Rozzie put a lot of time into coaching talented young riders, including eventing star Hazel Shannon, who won the 2016 Australian International Three-Day Event at Adelaide with horse Clifford.
Heath was one of nine to join the honour roll in a ceremony yesterday at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club. Congratulations to Heath on this fantastic achievement!
