Right after the Championship round for three-year-old jumping stallions, the KWPN Select Sale took off. Just like last year, the auction is split up in two auctions for three-year-old jumping and dressage stallions on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

In the morning prior to the auction all the offered horses were clinically examined once more to prevent discussions afterwards. The KSS started with auctioning a covering by High Shutterfly for the DVB Foundation. This covering yielded no less than 1600 euros. Today’s top seller turned out to be vice-champion of the Stallion show: I.Wellie R 58 (Dexter R out of S.Wellie 12 elite sport-spr s.Mermus R, bred by Stal Roloefs from Den Ham) owned by rider Stefan Adamowicz. This stallion was sold for the impressive amount of 70,000 euros to Stal Hendrix, who also bought Inostello M (Numero Uno x Voltaire). The total revenue of the auction amounted to 739,000,- euros, with an average price of 33,600 euros.

During the auction it became apparent that one stallion was sold to Iran and one to China. Four stallions will depart to Ukraine: cat.no. 252 Iowa Palowna (Numero Uno x Carthago), 39 Ildivo (Calvino Z x Goodtimes), 178 Incredible (Etoulon VDL x Coromino) and 159 Imir S (Emir R x Tolan R).
