Isabell Werth and Bella Rose competed at Cappeln CDI4* over the weekend, achieving big scores to win the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle.

In the Grand Prix, they scored 79.500%, which was Bella Rose’s best GP score since returning to the competition arena after a lengthy break due to injury. In the Freestyle, the pair scored a huge 87.000% — it was the mare’s first Freestyle since her break, and a very impressive score.

Isabell is hoping to make Germany’s WEG dressage team on Bella Rose. Germany historically has named its team following Aachen CHIO, but with top combinations (e.g. Dorothee Schneider and Showtime, and Sönke Rothenberger and Cosmo) sidelined through injury, they appear to be waiting as long as possible before naming the team.
