Young Australian show jumper Jake Hunter is on the move after taking up a job with Marc Wirths Sportpferde in St. Johann, Germany.

“We are very excited to announce that Jake Hunter has joined our team. We are proud that we were able to win this hopeful young rider for us. We look forward to the cooperation and the common goals that we want to achieve together in the near future,” reads a social media statement from Marc Wirths Sportpferde.

Jake, who is currently ranked 97th on the FEI U25 World Rankings, has enjoyed plenty of competition success of late, notably having his Longines Global Champions Tour debut and also forming part of Australia’s Nations Cup team who achieved a podium finish in Drammen, Norway.

In the July issue of Equestrian Life magazine, we caught up with Jake Hunter to discuss his journey in Europe thus far — from taking the plunge and moving there at 18, to the goals he’s now kicking at 25.
