Riding her long term partner Trevalgar II, Katie Taliana added just 2.0 time penalties in the show jumping phase to her second placed dressage score, winning the Albury International Horse Trials CCI4*-S class on a score of 32.20 penalties.

Due to its location near the Victorian border, Albury International Horse Trials normally attracts a large contingent of Victorian based riders. This year, despite border closures meaning the Victorians were unable to attend, there were strong entry numbers across all classes from EvA80cm right through to the CCI4*-S class.

Twenty combinations contested the CCI4*-S; ultimately, it was a show of strength from the lady riders, who occupied the top 4 places on the leaderboard at the end of the event. In second place behind Katie Taliana and Trevalgar II was Emma Mason and Warrego Marco Polo on a score of 35.50 penalties. Gemma Tinney finished third with Wanda on 40.20 penalties, with Annabel Cargill just 0.2 penalties behind in 4th place riding Quaprice.

In the CCI3*-S, Christine Bates took the win aboard her evergreen Adelaide Hill, a horse with which she has enjoyed much success both in Australia and overseas. Leading from start to finish, the experienced pair won on an impressive score of 25.70 penalties, a significant lead over second placed Gemma Tinney who finished on 32.60 penalties riding Dalenna Daydream.

Shane Rose won the CCI2*-S on 31.60 penalties riding Sir Viv, ahead of Emma Bishop and Cassilis Park Figaro on 33.0 penalties. Teegan Ashby won the CCI1*-S on 26.10 penalties with Magic Mushroom TAE, with Natalie Blundell finishing second with Tarburra Puss n Boots.
