One of Australia’s top FEI dressage riders, Mary Hanna, has sold her Olympic partner Boogie Woogie 6.

The horse has reportedly been sold to Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark, along with Mary’s 2017 World Young Horse Championship finalist Gerion.

Mary and Boogie Woogie, a 13 year old KWPN gelding by Du Moulin x Florett As, competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2018 Tryon World Equestrian Games – among many other big events both here in Australian and overseas.

With the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in sight, Mary has kept her talented 12-year-old Dutch warmblood mare Calanta and has also purchased the 9-year old Ferrero (by Tuschinski x Jazz) as a back up horse.

Calanta was the horse with whom Mary won last year’s Australian World Cup series final at Boneo Park, thus qualifying her for the main final in Paris. Unfortunately there were issues with the horse after arriving in Europe and Mary was unable to compete.
