Jake the mounted police horse is definitely not a morning person!

I’m sure that many can agree that there is nothing nicer than waking up to a nice warm cup of tea, particularly in winter, and Jake, who is one of the mounted police horses at the Merseyside Police Mounted Section in the United Kingdom has proved that he is certainly no different to the rest of us!

For Jake it is simple: No tea in the morning means no work is to be done, so the sooner he gets his warm beverage, the sooner the day can begin.

Jake typically orders a milky tea with two sugars, and prefers skimmed milk to full cream.

Merseyside police say “Jake is exhausted after signing all the autographs and posting for selfies at the Everton Match.” They continued on to say that although Jake has made national newspapers with his tea drinking antics, Jake reassured the Merseyside Police Mounted team that the fame won’t change him, but we’ll see!
