The third day of dressage action at The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN for 2021 was a clear demonstration of the magnitude of wonderful talent of Queensland riders.

With the state borders closed to most nominated riders from New South Wales and Victoria, there were mass scratchings in the program, however the quality of competition is still excellent.

In the Petstock Young Rider Individual Test, Danielle McMahon rode a lovely test on Remi Lauries Joy to finish top of the class on 67.831. The only other combination in the class, India Cochrane and GB Winchester scored 65.331, keeping the competition between the two up-and-coming riders tight.

Stepping up the heat in the International Horse Breeders Under 25 Grand Prix, Eliza Cullen claimed victory with a score of 62.692 riding Dobria De Jeu, while Alistair Schramm and Zero Degrees scored 55.299 to put them into second place of the two combinations.

Victoria Welch and Bellagio 11 gave a lovely performance in the Hygain CDN Grand Prix Special, coming away with a score of 67.846. Second place went to the only other combination in the class, Justine Dean and Sharellen Gadabout who finished on a score of 59.894.

Lee Muir-Clarke and DAVINCI L floated through the Kohnke’s Own Intermediate I (AAOR) to win with an impressive mark of 67.022. In a close contest for second place, Georgie Cham and Laquestar just edged out Leah McLellan and Stockie Stella, winning with a score of 63.846 to Leah’s score of 63.493.

In the Open class of the Kohnke’s Own Intermediate I, Jemma Heran produced an extremely flashy test on Total Recall to collect a final score of 71.912. The last rider of the class, Emma Flavelle-Watts and Remi Downunder followed close behind the leading combination on a score of 70.257, while Elloise Devlin and Brimstone Florente claimed third with 68.860.
