Continuing his rise up the FEI World Rankings, Aussie show jumper Rowan Willis is now at number 61 in the world, as of the start of October.

He is currently Australia’s top-ranked showjumper.

Rowan grew up in NSW, however moved to the UK nearly 20 years ago to pursue his dream. More recently he’s based himself in the US and caught everyone’s attention with a breathtaking performance at last year’s World Equestrian Games with super mare Blue Movie (aka Carrots). They finished 12th individually amongst the world’s best.

Since then, he has won back-to-back Derbys at Spruce Meadows with Everse W in 2018 and 2019 - certainly one of his career highlights. The derby is one of the toughest events of the Spruce Meadows tournament with only 21 riders and horses from 689 attempts jumping clear rounds in its history.

Rowan also claimed second place at the $3 million CP International Rolex Grand Prix in Canada this year with Blue Movie.

Rowan has his sights firmly set on representing Australia at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, hopefully aboard Carrots.
