Last day today. Lisa did so well in the kur. Firegirl looked wonderful and they scored just over 72pc. Another fourth which is terrific but agonising as well to be so close to the medals. Gold to Belgium Michele George FBW Rainman silver to GB Sophie Wells Valerius and bronze to Frank Hosmar Alphaville NL.

Grade 3 gold to Natasha Baker Cabral GB.
Grade 2 gold Sanne Voets Demantur  NL.
Grade 1b gold to Lee Pearson Zion GB.
Grade 1a gold to Sophie Christiansen Athene Lindebjerg GB.

Well done to make it through to the kur. No doubt if you are planning on making the team for WEG or Tokyo you need lots of experience and a very good horse.

A massive pack up is now under way as the horses leave tomorrow for Liege.

We fly out tomorrow too. Looking forward to getting back to riding.

What will I remember? Firstly the inspiring athletes from all sports, they give new meaning to the word fight. The mountains and the soaring vultures who get the best view. Corcovado, a wonder. The bus trips (can't say I'll miss them) and the polite friendliness of the people on them. The varied and very different wildlife. Most of all the great effort by our Aussie team.
