The finale to the 2019 FEI Eventing Nations Cup series was held last weekend at Boekelo. The event, which followed the new Olympic format had a total of 12 nations competing. The final Boekelo leg was won by team Germany, with a total score of 94,10. Second place in the team standings was awarded to the Australian team, which consisted of Chris Burton, Kevin McNab and Sammi Birch, with a total score of 123,50. Third place in the team standings was awarded to team Japan, with a total score of 124,20.

The Aussie team climbed from sixth position, to second after the cross country phase thanks to Chris Burton’s and Kevin McNab’s seamless cross country rounds, which were both clear and within the time limit.

Chris Burton and Clever Louis also landed themselves in second place in the individual standings, with a final penalty score of 26,00. Kevin McNab and the talented Fernhill Tabasco finished in final 14th position, with a total penalty score of 33,70.

Reserve combination, Sammi Birch and Finds PFB finished in 55th position, with a total penalty score of 63,80.

Catherine Burrell and Duke finished up in 36th, with a total penalty score of 46,40, while Aussie team mate Benjamin Leahy finished up 80th with Imperial Plan, with final score of 116.90.
