Olympic hopefuls Shane Rose and Katja Weimann stared in this Weekend's Australian.

"Wild Ride Olympic dreams never come easily... but Shane Rose has jumped more hurdles than most"

By Doug Conway

“I’m riding as well or better now. I have no doubts that I work as hard as or harder than anyone else out there competing. And I’ve got two horses that are as good or better,” Rose says. “If one of these, God forbid, should fall over, I’ve got another one that’s equally capable. I’m in a much stronger position. I’d be pretty disappointed if I can’t finish in the top five [in the individual events].”

"Olympic eventing hopeful puts her trust in partner Flynn".

By Simon King

"Katja Weimann has been working towards conquering this course for her country since she joined pony club.

Next month, the 33-year-old will find out if she and her horse PB Flamboyant — known as Flynn — have done enough to be part of the Rio three-day eventing team, which also includes the dressage and jumping disciplines.

“I’m in the saddle most of the day; I ride anywhere from eight to 12 horses a day because you can only ride one horse for an hour or so,” Weimann said."
