A number of elite showjumping horses will be sold in February via an online auction after US authorities seized them.

The horses are owned by Alejandro Andrade and were ridden by his son Emanuel, who has competed at the Olympics. Mr Andrade was found guilty of money laundering and sentenced to 10 years prison in November 2018. As part of his plea agreement, Mr Andrade agreed to forfeiture money judgement of $1 billion, as well as all assets involved in the corruption — including real estate, vehicles, aircraft and also horses.
