Stop Horsing Around - Horseback Winery Tours Receives Safety Accreditation

Horseback Winery Tours Press Release

By media release

Horseback Winery Tours and seven of their staff have been accredited by Horse Safety Australia.

Horse Safety Australia is an industry leader and is actively engaged in setting and promoting standards of excellence in safety and education for those involved in all sectors of the horse industry.

Horseback Winery Tours application for safety accreditation was driven by their ingrained philosophy ‘Safety is number one priority’.

“Safety for our horses, staff and clients is our number one priority so this is hugely important to us. Empowering our staff by ensuring they are accredited has been key to ensuring our goals are met and exceeded.” said Alisha Griffiths, founder and owner.

Horseback Winery Tours are the only trail riding facility in Victoria to be accredited. Only three years old, the run down stables received a $8M facelift, lifting it to a world class facility with a clear focus on safety for their horses, staff and clients.

The 40 well-groomed and equipped tour horses are kept in pristine condition, with around the clock care and state of the art equipment. The focus on client safety is executed with care by experienced tour riders and well-trained horses. While clients are busy enjoying themselves, there is no sign of the organisational effort that is going on behind the scenes.

Horseback Winery Tours is located at Main Ridge, in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula’s food and wine regions. The 28-acre property boasts its own vineyards and spectacular views. The property neighbours some of Australia’s best known wineries, forming part of their unique and increasingly popular tours. They take experienced riders as well as first-timers on a unique and breathtaking horseback tour to the peninsula’s finest wineries and restaurants.

As 2014 finalists of the Victoria Tourism Awards and their recent safety accreditation, they are well on their way to achieving their goal of becoming one of the best tourist attractions in Australia.
