Jeremy Janjic began his career breaking in and pre-training racehorses but it was his partnership with the Friesian stallion and born showman Django of Cacharel that cemented his place in the elite dressage ranks.

The now retired Django was the first Friesian to represent Australia and their remarkable journey inspired Jeremy to continue with the breed, now competing another purebred stallion, Crystal Mt Xodo, with Grand Prix CDI the goal.

Having trained multiple horses to the top level, Jeremy knows what it takes and he believes good digestive health is by far the most important factor in ensuring his horses are always feeling well and performing at their best.

If your horses don’t have ulcers why do you use a digestive supplement?

Horses have a particularly fragile digestive system and it doesn’t take much to cause an upset with potentially fatal consequences. Horses with good gut health are happy horses which is why mine are all on GastroAID. It minimises any digestive problems and as a result, behavioural issues.

Do you notice a difference in your horses on GastroAID?

They’re happy and healthy and have never shown any signs of ulcers. My horses are under a fair amount of pressure with their training, a lot of travel to competitions and then often a change in environment, climate and routine when we’re at an event. They’re asked to do multiple dressage tests, sometimes late at night then early in the morning and if they’re not feeling great because of a stomach upset, they’re just not going to be able to perform. I believe in the saying ‘prevention is better than cure’.

Why GastroAID?

Because I know it works. It’s tried, tested and made using quality ingredients by an Australian company. I broke Django in when he was three and competed him right up to Grand Prix and his retirement at 17 with no gut issues ever. He always gave 110% and Xodo is the same. My competition horses are all managed with GastroAID as a core element of their diet and they’re healthy, happy athletes. You can’t ask for more than that.
