Charlotte Dujardin and Juan Matute Guimon have both made the decision to withdraw their top dressage mounts from Olympia, due to the horses recovering from illness.??

British dressage superstar, Charlotte Dujardin has announced that she won’t be competing Mount St John Freestyle at Olympia this December, due to the 9-year-old Hanoverian mare suffering from a cough. Mount St John Freestyle is now back in work but is being given some more time to make a full recovery before competing again. Charlotte will instead take the 10-year-old Diamond Hit son, Hawtins Delicato.

Spanish rider, Juan Matute Guimon has also announced the withdrawal of his 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Quantico, due to a colic attack. Guimon says he is disappointed that he can’t compete, but is glad that he is recovering well and that it wasn’t anything too major. ?

Olympia will also be showcasing the new shortened Grand Prix test for the first time. The test will run for five minutes with the music being selected by a professional musical director, aiming to reflect each combination’s personality, style and interests.
