Ocala, Florida, is known as the “horse capital” of the USA, and now it has another reason to claim this title. In 2021, the World Equestrian Centre is set to open in the area — and when it does, it’s likely to become the biggest equestrian complex in the country!

The new venue will be set on a whopping 4,000 acres (more than 1,600 hectares); the equestrian complex will take up 378 acres, while 300 acres will be reserved for future expansion. The remainder of the 4,000 acres is set to be sold as home sites, dubbed “World Equestrian Estates”, most of which are 3 acre lifestyle properties — meaning horse owners can live right alongside a world class facility.

At the equestrian centre, there is set to be more then 2,000 temperature controlled stalls, 4 climate controlled indoor arenas and 17 outdoor arenas, a 3-acre Grand Outdoor Stadium that includes two arenas, onsite riding trails, an onsite vet clinic and more.

The family owned enterprise will also feature a luxurious six-story, 5-star hotel, located at the heart of the equestrian resort that will include retail space, where guests and visitors will find a high-end boutique experience just minutes from the competition rings and barns. On-site dining options will include several sit-down restaurants, including a fine dining restaurant with seating for 500 guests.

The venue is to be run by the same group that have the World Equestrian Centre in Wilmington, Ohio.
