It seems like only yesterday that Edwina Tops-Alexander rode to victory with California in the Grand Prix at Saut Saut Hermès in the heart of Paris.

This year, it was Frenchman Simon Delestre who won the CSI5* Grand Prix, riding Hermes Ryan. Simon jumped a classy double clear to narrowly beat Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels and mare Gancia de Muze. Third place went to Germany’s Marcus Ehning and grey stallion Cornado NRW.

Fourteen riders made the jump off, including Edwina and Inca Boy Van T Vianahof. The pair unfortunately had a rail down in the jump off, dashing Edwina’s hopes of defending last year’s win. However, a very credible 12th with her relatively new horse!

Saut Hermès is an elite showjumping competition created by the fashion giant to showcase the world’s best riders in the heart of Paris. The event takes place beneath the glass dome of the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees — arguably one of the most stunning arenas in the world. First prize this year was 132,000 euros.
