It is the policy of EQ Life Pty Ltd (EQL) to comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as required by that act.
This policy applies to all publications published by EQL. It also covers EQL’s website (www.equestrianlife.com.au).
This policy is designed to tell you about how EQL uses and manages personal information provided to, or collected by EQL. We believe you should be made aware of our practices so you can make informed decisions about how you allow us to use your information.
EQL may, from time to time, review and update this policy to take account of new laws and technology or changes to EQL’s operations. All personal information held by EQL will be governed by EQL’s most recent policy.

  1. What kind of personal information does EQL collect and how does EQL collect it?

EQL collects and holds a wide range of personal information, including (but not limited to) names, addresses, contact details, credit card details and other financial information, and gender information.

EQL may decide to buy or sell assets which form part of or relate to its business. In any such transaction, personal information will usually be one of the transferred assets and will be disclosed to the buyer.
Unless requested not to, EQL may provide your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes (and those third parties may in turn provide your information to other third parties for marketing purposes).
In many cases where EQL asks you to provide EQL with information about yourself, if you do not provide EQL with that information EQL will not be able to provide you with the relevant product or service.

Before disclosing your personal information to Linked Websites, we advise you to examine their privacy polices.

  1. How does EQL treat sensitive information?

If you decide to provide EQL with sensitive information, it is EQL’s policy that this information will be used and disclosed only for the purpose for which it was provided or a directly related secondary purpose, unless you agree otherwise or use or disclosure of this information is allowed by law.

  1. Management and security of personal information

[EQL has appointed a privacy officer to oversee EQL’s management of personal information in accordance with this policy and the Privacy Act.] EQL has also directed its officers and employees that personal information must be dealt with in accordance with this policy and that personal information must be kept secure from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
