Tashkent has been breeding purebred Friesians for 15 years and always aims to breed purebred Friesian  horses suitable for the rider who wishes to be competitive whilst enjoying a horse with a nofuss temperament. One that has the ability to go out and do a great dressage test one day and  go on a trail ride the next. In serving this aim Django of Cacharel  has proven to be an exceptional sire, passing on both his ability and willing calm temperament. He has also been no slouch in the Friesian Classification arena with his son Duvel TK taking out Champion Friesian Horse in the 2013 NSW Keuring. This year we are adding some fantastic new mares and fillies to the purebred herd. 

We have also bred the occasional partbred in order to produce a horse that suits a rider wanting   a more typical Sporthorse but still with the temperament and big movement of the Friesian. Django has proven to be a great sire over Warmblood and TB mares especially, adding something special to the mix.  His oldest youngster have been out competing and going well in dressage and eventing. 

It is the success of the partbreds that has made use decide to expand our Sporthorse breeding program and hence the birth of Indigo Sporthorses.  We will be using our Warmblood mares and in addition are adding Andalusian mares and a very special Roan Paint mare to produce Dressage horses and Working Equitation Horses.
