Several Australian riders have climbed the FEI Dressage World Rankings this month, with five riders now inside the top 100 of the Athlete Ranking (CDI3*/CDIO3* and above).

Simone Pearce remains the highest ranked Australian dressage rider and has risen to #60 this month, up from #65.

Following her success at Dressage by the Sea in February, 19-year-old Jessica Dertell has taken a leap from #204 to #65, while six-time Olympian Mary Hanna has also risen significantly from #196 to #68. Also inside the top 100 is Jayden Brown at #89 (up from #225) and Jemma Heran at #95 (up from #147), with both riders recently posting impressive results abroad.

Once again, Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl stands as the undisputed number one in the World Ranking. The current Olympic Champion has maintained her stronghold for an impressive 11 consecutive months.

Following von Bredow-Werndl, Charlotte Fry of Great Britain and Isabell Werth of Germany are tied for #2 position. In close pursuit, Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald has risen one spot to #4, overtaking Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin, who slips two positions and into #5.

In the Horse Ranking (CDI3*/CDIO3* and above), Sabble Farm’s Cennin, who is ridden by Jessica Dertell, is the highest ranked Australian-owned horse at #61, up from #229. He is followed by Mary Hanna’s Ivanhoe at #66 (up from #220), and Jemma Heran’s Saphira Royal 2 at #99 (up from #154).

While Jessica von Bredow-Werndl leads the Athlete Ranking, her mare TSF Dalera BB is still dominating the Horse Ranking and holds the #1 spot. Isabell Werth’s Emilio 107 has climbed three spots to secure second place, while Patrick Kittel’s gelding, Touchdown, has ascended from #6 to #3. Rounding out the Top 5 are Everdale and Dante Weltino Old.
