Boyd Exell tops first four-in-hand dressage test at CHIO Aachen

Boyd Exell is off to a great start at CHIO Aachen, finishing at the top of the leaderboard in the first dressage test for four-in-hand drivers. Boyd and his horses Carlos, Checkmate, Ivor and Jalmer HBC scored 36.32 to finish well ahead of Germany’s Mareike Harm in second on 42.05.

In the dressage arena, Helen Langehanenberg and Schoene Scarlett won the Prix St Georges on 76.324%, while the CDI4* Grand Prix went to Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier and Valesco 50 on 74.174%. Australia’s Tayla Desmet and Zaubermaus finished 13th in the PSG with 67.471%, and fellow Aussie William Matthew finished in 20th place in the Grand Prix riding Belantis to a score of 68.174%.

In the jumping arena, team USA won the prestigious Nations Cup from Sweden and France.
