Victoria Davies-Koch and her beautiful imported Lusitano and PRE stallions have a devout fan base, inspired by the talent and enthusiasm the Para Equestrian star and her eye catching stallions exude. In 2019, Victoria and her husband Michael are standing Tora V Dressage’s impressive and successful performance stallions Celere and Joyero JF III at public stud; an exciting opportunity for Australian breeders.

Celere (Estoire x Noz), a purebred buckskin Lusitano born in 2007 and standing 15.2hh, is long listed for the 2020 Paralympics with Victoria and currently leads the Equestrian Life Para Dressage Leaderboard. Much admired for his stunning looks and graceful, powerful movement, it is this stallion’s incredible nature that sets him apart. Lusitanos are renowned for their kind sensitivity and intelligence; Celere exemplifies these traits and passes them on to his offspring.

Approved for breeding with the APSL Portuguese Lusitano Studbook, Celere has undergone an extensive judging process to achieve this status and is one of only a few Lusitano stallions in Australasia to have done so. As a young horse in Portugal Celere won a gold medal of morphology, and now has purebred and partbred offspring in Australia and Portugal. Foals by Celere exhibit their father’s kind and friendly nature and amazing presence, and are tall and elegant.

Having purchased Celere in Portugal in 2014, Victoria and her husband Michael imported the stallion to Australia in 2016. With their sights firmly set on the Tokyo Paralympics, the pair also compete in open dressage to Medium level with clear potential for the FEI classes. Extremely eye catching and versatile, Celere has also competed with much success in the show ring. He dominated at the 2018 Buckskin Nationals, winning every class he entered, and has also won Show Hunter classes and accompanied Victoria to win Supreme Champion Rider titles.

In 2018 Victoria imported the PRE Spanish Approved Breeding stallion Joyero JF III to Australia. A proven sire in Spain with approved breeding offspring, “Luis” is an impressive, tall, noble stallion born in 2009 and standing 16.2hh. Luis is the only Australasian PRE stallion to have competed at SICAB, a prestigious international event for the PRE breed. He has in fact competed at the event three times, placing in the top 8 from 32 stallions in 2013, and he was the 2012 Sub-Champion Young Male at national level in Spain.

Incredibly powerful, yet possessing a gentle, generous nature, Luis is related to the PRE Spanish Olympic Games and WEG stars Fuego De Cardenas and Invasor II. He exhibits an incredible passage, lengthen, Spanish Walk, and is even trained in harness! His temperament is delightful, being described by those that know him as a “teddy bear”.

Joyero JF II recently made his Australian competition debut, winning both of his first tests and going on to place 4th in the FEI Grade II team test at the Victorian Dressage Festival in December, showing enormous potential for the future.
