Thousands of horse-lovers and weekenders are expected to flock to the much anticipated Boneo Classic this weekend (January 20-22) at Boneo Park on the Mornington Peninsula to see the finest equestrian athletes and horses.

The three-day program will see Australia’s best known Dressage, Showjumping and Para Equestrian athletes compete as well as featuring a masterclass with Britain’s most successful ever dressage athlete, Charlotte Dujardin.

Guests can enjoy a VIP marquee experience with all day gourmet grazing and premium drinking packages or a more relaxed event experience with a ‘Picnic in the Park’ featuring food, wine, farmer’s market produce, face painting, pony rides and more.

Boneo Park Managing Director Fiona Selby, said the venue looks forward to putting on one of summer’s most-loved equestrian events.

“As far as location goes, it doesn’t get much better than the Mornington Peninsula and with the summer in full swing we’re expecting many weekend visitors to come and enjoy this unrivalled display of equestrian talent.

“The competition should be just as exciting with riders fresh from the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics in Rio, as well as hopefuls wanting to qualify for next year’s World Championships,” said Ms Selby.

On Sunday, 22 January X Factor’s Amalia Foyle will perform while guests and families witness the World Cup Showjumping and enjoy the ‘Picnic in the Park’.

On Friday, 20 January guests can enjoy the thrill of world-class CDI Dressage competition from Boneo Park’s exclusive Grand Prix Marquee, where guests will be able to admire the elegance of Mary Hanna, Heath and Rozzie Ryan.

Other names to grace the arena over the weekend include legend jumper, Vicki Roycroft as well as Chris Chugg and Tom McDermott.

The Para Equestrian competition will feature Australian Paralympic representatives as well as the Japanese Paralympic team in attendance to observe in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Games.
