Jonty Evans suffered a severe brain injury after falling off his 12-year-old Irish Sport Horse at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials earlier this year in June, and remained in a coma for six weeks. Jonty secured his Rio Olympic mount, “Art” earlier this year in August, after raising over 500,000 pounds through a hugely successful crowd-funding campaign. Art was moved to Andrew Downes’ yard after the accident in June, but has since returned home to Jonty’s stables in November.
