Australian showjumper Katie Laurie, who is now based in Canada, has had another successful show at Desert International Horse Park, California, placing 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th in the $75,000 Grand Prix class on Saturday 13th March! 33 starters contested the 1.50m track, which was designed by Canadian Peter Grant and consisted of 16 jumping efforts.

Riding Concales, who is owned by Spruce Meadows, Katie jumped one of only two double clear rounds in the class, stopping the clock less than a second behind the winner Shawn Casady riding Lyranta Van'T Gebroekt. Picking up 3rd place with Casebrooke Lomond, 4th with McCaw MVNZ and 7th with Cera Caruso, Katie's prizemoney from the class totalled $35,250 - not a bad day at the office!

Full results from the class can be found here

This week, Katie Laurie will compete 7 horses in the final week of competition at Desert International Horse Park. The final week of FEI competition will feature the $250,000 FEI 1.55m CSI4* class. With several horses entered in the FEI division, the in-form Australian will be one to watch!
