Lakes & Craters International Three Day Event was held over the weekend at the Lakes & Craters Sporting Complex in Camperdown, Victoria. The stunning venue is situated between two volcanic crater lakes, and with perfect autumn weather it was a great weekend out. The event is unique in that it runs a full three-day format for lower level classes through to 3*.

Rohan Luxmoore and Bells N Whistles won the Coprice CIC3* class on 57.50, ahead of Bianca Sigismundi and Royal Chanel. The Gidgee Eyewear CCI3* class has just one starter, Molly Barry and La Muso, and the pair finished on 72.40. The Ariat CIC2* went to Usman Khan riding Al Burag on 46.80, with Leesa Clausing and Willtony Garnett a close second on 48.40.

The CIC1* was a big class with more than 35 starters — and it was Andrew Cooper who dominated. Andrew won on Der Von Wedel with a score of 37.40, and also came second on Macarthur Desperanto on 39.30. Third and tenth respectively after the dressage, Andrew produced two terrific cross country rounds — picking up 1.6 time faults in Der Von Wedel and 2.0 time faults on Macarthur Desperanto — to move up the leadboard and quinella the class. With no combinations going under time, Andrew’s rides were the two quickest of the class. Third went to Sophia Landy and Humble Glory on 42.70.
