Simone Pearce enjoys double victory in Pilisjászfalu

Australian dressage rider Simone Pearce has won both the CDI4* Grand Prix and CDI-W Short Grand Prix in Pilisjászfalu, Hungary.

“The big boss was on fire today,” said Simone, referring to Destano’s 74.816% test. The five judges’ scores ranged from 74%-75% and all had the pair clearly in first place. The impressive 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion by Desperados is owned by Gestüt Sprehe.

“I’ve never felt him so with me and happy in a test before - we really felt like a top team today and the test was very harmonious, which is my number 1 priority with all my horses. Fingers crossed for the upcoming Olympic selection…. Destano feels in top shape.”

Simone and Double Joy 4 scored 71.826% to win the CDI4* Grand Prix. The 14 year old chestnut Hanoverian stallion, also by Desperados, is owned by Sabine Rüben.

“So proud of Double Joy claiming his first international victory today… still lots to improve but we are starting to really understand each other in the ring,” said Simone.
