He was the first on course today in the CCI4*L at Werribee, and Stuart Tinney produced one of the best rounds of the day with Celebration to retain the lead going into tomorrow’s showjumping phase. The pair were clear and added just 2 time penalties to their dressage score to finish the day on 30.9.

In second place is Simon Tainsh and the off the track thoroughbred Punching in a Dream; they picked up just 3.6 time penalties to finish the day on 39.4. Tanya Schmidt and Laurentino are third on 41.8, while Andrew Cooper is fourth with Oaks Onyx on 42.40.

Stuart Tinney then holds the next two spaces on the leaderboard with Leporis and Wanda; both were clear but picked up a few time penalties.

Emma Mason and Aramatai Fox are next, followed by Kirilee Hosier and Regal Red Jasper, Sam Lyle and Superclass, and Amanda Ross and Dondiablo rounding out the top ten. The 11 penalties for activating a frangible device were a common occurrence, and there were also a couple of run outs.

In the CCI3*L, Eliza Harvey and Evergem Perfection lead the way on 36.20, jumping clear and picking up just 1.6 time penalties. It was an action packed class, with 13 retiring or being eliminated on course.

In the CCI2*L, Madison Simpson retained her lead with Tiraumea Sportsman after going clear and under time; they remain on their dressage score of 26.90. Oliver Barrett also held his lead in the CCI2*L Junior with Sandhills Special. Oliver remarkably also holds second place with Ballyhoo.

The event concludes tomorrow with the showjumping.
