The Brisbane CDI is underway at Queensland State Equestrian Centre in Caboolture.

Commencing on Wednesday, a number of classes have already been run and won! Yesterday, Sue Hearn and Remmington rode a lovely test to achieve a personal best score of 70.590% and win the Team Van Den Berge Grand Prix CDI. Second place went to Shannan Goodwin and Aristede on 69.160%, while third went to Mary Warren and Mindarah Park Ramaden with 66.040%. The Equestrian QLD Grand Prix CDN was won by Tor Van Den Berge and stallion Lauris As with a score of 66.000%.

Young horse classes have been a highlight of the event so far, with the Hanoverian Horse Society Australia & Hannoveraner Verband Qld Young Dressage Horse Championship for 4, 5 and 6 year olds also taking place yesterday. The Young Dressage Horse 4 Year Old Championship was won by Gina Montgomery and Braveaux, the 5 Year Old Championship was won by Melissa Van Den Berge and Benchmark Beckham, and the 6 Year Old Championship saw Gina Montgomery win again — this time with her chestnut gelding Artes Lauris Gift.

There is plenty more still to come in the next two days — including the GP Special and Freestyle!
