The Queen's love affair with horses has been well documented over the years. Here, we see her taking the grandchildren out for a ride back in 1992 - William, Harry, Beatrice and Zara Phillips (now Zara Tindall).

Zara went on to become a top-level eventer, forming part of the UK's silver medal winning eventing team at the London Olympics in 2012. She was unfortunately forced to withdraw from Burghley Horse Trials this weekend, as High Kingdom was not 100%.
