Valentine Equine was established to create unique riding attire, that would set competitors apart from the crowd, whilst maintaining the old world class that is synonymous with equestrian sports. With over 10 years’ experience working with tailors to create show jackets owner of Valentine Equine, Melita Harmer, enjoys the process that goes into designing the perfect outfit as much as she enjoys seeing people enjoying the products.

“My passion lies in the aesthetic world of show horse and dressage although currently I am enjoying combining technical fabrics with flared styling to create unique performance sports attire”.
 

The 2015 collection includes a lot of lace and florals. Shirts are made in a range of technical fabrics, from stretch lace exceptionally fitting stock shirts, to Italian dress shirts that are so soft they never need ironing. Each collection is named after a horse that greatly influenced Melita and the Hollywood is no exception. Hollywood was a black stallion imported from Jakarta whom Melita gained the ride on for a short period of time at Bali Equestrian Centre, before he passed away. He had a coat you could see your reflection in and they had much success showjumping together due to his scope and speed. He is an apt namesake for the glamorous but high performance competition clothing.
