Australian Simone Pearce has won an S*** Intermediaire A test with an up-and-coming mare at a German national-level show in Epfach, Bavaria.
The dual Olympian scored an impressive 73.728% with nine-year-old mare Daenerys Targaryen 4 (Desperado x Gribaldi) to finish nearly 5% clear of second place in a class of 13 combinations.
‘Queen’, as the mare is known at home, has had limited competition outings – having only ever competed at M level previously, and never before with Simone.

“That moment you get to ride piaffe and passage with a young horse for the first time in the ring is just such a special and rewarding feeling,” said Simone following the competition.
“Of course, like any debut there is lot to improve and work on going forward but she’s only ever competed at M level before [this competition] and it was my first ever show with her.”
Simone says she was proud of the how the mare handled the test after quite a long break from shows and is now looking forward to the future with her. “What a special girl she is – I can’t wait for many more of these special little milestone moments with her.”
Owned by fiancé Martin Fuchs, the mare is one of two horses Simone now has approaching the elite level – the other being nine-year-old gelding Will Marq (Rio Marq x Lanciano).
