Friday’s winners

The Homes & Acreage Summer Dressage Championships offered OTT combinations the opportunity to ride two tests on both days of competition.

Friday’s Preliminary 1.1 went to Grace Imrie and Lady Fiorente on 69.6%, with Laura Snow and Telcontar claiming the 1.2 on 70.714%.

In the Novice 2.1 and 2.2, 14-year-old Sienna Wright produced two great tests with top show horse St Andrews to win on 69.712% and 70%. St Andrews (Sand Trap x College Chapel) finished racing in 2016 before going on have a very successful show career with Natalie McKay. More recently, young Sienna has taken over the reins and is not only shining in the show ring – but also excelling in the dressage arena!

In the Elementary, Mariah Kaminski won both the 3.1 and 3.2 with Linton Street on 65.143% and 65.688% respectively. These two are certainly no strangers to the Off The Track Dressage Series, having won the Novice division in 2023 and placing third in the Elementary division last year.

A 17.1 hand gentle giant, Linton Street raced under trainer Michael Moroney until he was six, having 19 starts for two wins. A stayer, his last start was on Melbourne Cup Day in 2011, where Mariah strapped him. He then retired and was ridden by Mariah’s sister, before Mariah herself eventually took over the reins; they have now enjoyed success in the dressage arena together for several years.

The Novice 2.2 and 2.3 again saw a clean sweep, with Sienna Wright and St Andrews improving on Friday’s scores to post 73.125% and 72.572%. Mariah Kaminski and Linton Street again took out the Elementary tests, scoring 62.313% in the 3.2 and 65.854% in the 3.3.
