Australian eventing team leads Strzegom Nations Cup

The Australian eventing team leads the CCIO4*S Nations Cup at Strzegom Horse Trials in Poland following the dressage phase on Friday.

All three Australian combinations are in the top ten after fantastic performances, led by Kevin McNab and his team silver medal winning horse from the Tokyo Olympics, Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam. The pair are in second place on 29.1, just behind Germany’s Julia Krajewski and Great Twist D’Ive Z on 27.9.

Andrew Hoy and Vassily de Lassos – also from Australia’s silver medal winning team in Tokyo and individual bronze medallists – are in sixth place on 32.1, while Grace Kay and Bluefields For Cello scored 32.8 for ninth place.

The Australian team are on a total of 94 and have a good lead over Poland, who are in second on 102.5. As a three-combination team, Australia does not have a drop score at this event.
