The championships, a highlight on the national youth calendar, will showcase riders across all levels – from Preliminary through to FEI classes. Competition is set to be fierce, with strong combinations entered in both national and FEI classes.
Among the standout entries is Tess Baker making her FEI Junior debut with – the current FEI Junior World #2-ranked horse with her previous rider, Maddi Vallender. Tess has previously competed with success in the FEI Pony division and will once again saddle up Hilkens No Kidding in these classes. In the FEI Under 25 Grand Prix, Jessica Dertell and her stallion Kilimanjaro, currently ranked #3 in the FEI Young Rider World Rankings, will be debuting in their new division.
In a unique international collaboration, six talented youth riders from New Zealand will also compete in Wagga Wagga, made possible through a partnership between Dressage New Zealand and the Australian Youth Dressage Championship organisers. These riders will be competing on pool horses generously provided by local supporters – a true test of horsemanship, ability and skill.
The event promises three days of top-quality dressage, camaraderie, and the celebration of the next generation of Australian and international talent.
